ARE YOUR BREADS GLUTEN FREE?

Even though our breads are 100% wheat free, they do however contain gluten.  It's important to note that all of our breads ferment for 36 hours.  The lengthy fermentation process partially breaks down the gluten, which makes it much easier for your body to digest.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY BREAD?

 

 

Our breads are good for 21 days at room temp once you receive them.  We recommend you store them in a zipper type bag.  Our breads also do really well in the freezer. You'll never know they've been frozen!

WHY IS SUGAR ADDED?

Our breads are sourdough - we don't use any added yeast.  Only natural leavening.  Rye grains are very resistant to fermenting - they need a lot of energy to do so. They get this energy from sugar.  The sugar is needed to provide the energy.  Without it, the dough simply will not ferment.  Our current recipe uses the least amount of sugar possible.
